The Global Matchmaking Platform has launched its new webinar series, Unlocking a New Industrial Age, with an opening session focused on the role of industry in the latest round of NDC updates.

The first session, Industry in the COP Spotlight: Translating Commitments into Action, brought together experts from UNIDO, UNFCCC, UNDP and partner institutions to discuss how industrial priorities are increasingly reflected in national climate strategies, and what this shift means for implementation in emerging and developing economies.

Speakers highlighted the importance of coordinated policy, finance and technical assistance to translate international commitments into concrete industrial action, and the role of platforms such as GMP in supporting countries through partnerships and matchmaking.
