The second GMP webinar explored country platforms for industrial decarbonisation
The Global Matchmaking Platform continues its webinar series, Unlocking a New Industrial Age, with a second session exploring the role of country platforms in advancing industrial decarbonisation and green industrialisation.
The session, Exploring Country Platforms for Industrial Decarbonisation, brought together experts from EBRD, OECD, UNIDO and LeadIt, to discuss how country platform approaches are emerging as coordination mechanisms to align stakeholders, mobilize resources, and support the development of industrial decarbonisation project pipelines.
Drawing on practical experiences and lessons from different country contexts, the discussion examined how governments, industry, financial institutions and development partners can collaborate to accelerate green and low-emission industrial transitions.
Speakers shared insights on the design and implementation of country platforms, early research findings, and opportunities for continued collaboration through the Global Matchmaking Platform, including the upcoming Industrial Decarbonization Hubs Accelerator.
